शिमला ।मंडी के कमांद में आईआईटी में हुए गोली कांड और चार ठेकेदार के चार बाउंसरों की मौत की वजह बने विभिन्न पहलुओं पर प्रदेश सीटू ने रोशनी डालकर सीएम वीरभद्र सिंह को आज एक ज्ञापन सौंपा है। सीटू ने प्रदेश के डीजीपी संजय कुमार को नसीहत दी है कि वो जांच किए बगैर बेफिजुूल की बयानबाजी ने करे और मजदूरों पर निशाना कसने से बाज आए। सीटू के राज्य सचिव बिजेंद्र मेहरा ने कहा है कि ये सारा कांड पुलिस,प्रशासन और ठेकेदार की मिलीभगत का नतीजा है।
उन्होंने मजदूरों के खिलाफ दर्ज मामले को वापस लेने और असल दोषियों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज करने की मांग की है। सीटू ने आज इस कांड के विरोध में पूरे प्रदेश में प्रदर्शन किए और आईआईटी के डायरेक्टर के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज करने की मांग की।उधर,सरकार ने आज कमांद पुलिस चौकी के प्रभारी को निलंबित कर दिया है।

Respected sir,
The state committee of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) wants to humbly submit as follows:
1. That the incident which look place in I.I.T. Kamaand (Mandi) on 20th June, 2015 is very unfortunate and it has once again exposed the nexus of administration, police and contractors.
2. Around 600 workers were demanding implementation of labour laws and statutory provisions, E.P.F. and medical facility since long but the contractor and I.I.T. administration did not pay any attention to it. The contractor Sh. Rajeev Sharma did not even deposit Rs. 24 lakhs in E.P.F. account of workers. The labour department also remained mute spectator.
3. This led to holding of demonstration by workers in Mandi on 19th June 2015 so that their voice is heard. But no sufficient effort was done by administration to resolve the matter. The delegation of workers even met distt. administration and apprised them regarding the goons of contractor carrying weapons and threatening being given to workers but no fruitful effort was made by distt. administration to avoid violent situation emerging in I.I.T. campus.
4. That after this demonstration the contractor chose violent method to curb the unity of workers and create fear psychosis. In this background, the hired goons of contractor fired bullets on workers including their leaders in which 5 workers Sh. Sunder Lal, President of Workers Union, Sh. Gumat Ram, Gulab Chand, Secretary and two others were seriously injured. The Secretary of the Union Gulab Chand is serious and has been referred to P.G.I. Chandigarh.
5. That the Police Chowki Incharge of Kamaand (Mandi) has been in connivance with contractor and did not act on time to avoid this unfortunate incident. Moreover dozens of weapons including guns and revolvers have been recovered from goons and the Chowki Incharge knowing fully well this situation did not initiate any proceeding on goons and contractor.
6. That the D.G.P. Himachal Pradesh before enquiring the facts and figures is making irresponsible statements and is holding workers responsible for the incident whereas native residents, workers and administration know the reality quite well.
In this background we demand:
1. That strict action should be taken against the concerned people in distt. administration, Police and I.I.T. administration.
2. That F.I.R. should be registered against the Director I.I.T., Police Chowki Incharge of Kamaand (Mandi) and Contractor.
3. That Police Chowki Incharge of Kamaand (Mandi) should be sacked immediately.
4. That the D.G.P. Himachal Pradesh should be asked not to make unnecessary and irresponsible statements.
5. That F.I.R.’s lodged against workers and their leaders should be immediately withdrawn and quashed and workers should not be unnecessarily harassed.
